This launch was highly successful due to its combination of a compelling personal story, practical and valuable advice, and impressive business traction. By addressing a universal pain point with actionable tips and then revealing the significant success of the product derived from those insights, Jacob effectively captured the attention and respect of the r/SaaS community.
Strong personal narrative and origin story (college GPA to top tech interviews) resonated with the audience.
Provided actionable, high-value resume tips (ATS optimization, tailoring, detailing) that directly addressed a common pain point.
Leveraged a successful viral Reddit post as the genesis of the product, demonstrating early product-market fit and community validation.
Transparently shared impressive business metrics ($5M+ revenue, #1 on Indiepage), building credibility and inspiring other SaaS builders.
Openly invited an AMA (Ask Me Anything), fostering engagement and allowing for direct interaction and learning from the community.
Hey yea high churn, about 16%, is a big problem. LTV is very close to 3 months of Pro at 29$/mo. We also have lifetime which is $149 on time payment. Long term, it would make the most sense to make Rezi free for job seekers, and charge companies to post jobs in the software. Company payments would completely subsidize job seeker expense and be a win/win
rezi_ioHow many cancel the monthly service? Have you considered making it a one-time payment, with level upgrades instead, considering people are not searching for a new job every month?
Practical-Rub-1190First of all, congrats on $5.4 million in revenue. That's insane. Looks like you've made $200k in just last 30 days according to Indiepage. That's badass. What's currently working for you? Bdw, you're right about AI Automating Jobs. 2025 will be an amazing year for u. Rezi is one of the products benefiting from all the elimination of jobs from AI automation. PS: I covered the [growth strategy](https://startupspells.com/p/rezi-ai-growth-strategy-ai-powered-free-ats-resume-builder) of Rezi a while back if anyone wants to read.

rezi_ioAnyone can look at the volume for resume builder keyword clusters and see that there is a massive need for a product (many do). It comes down to ability to execute. And everyone's ceiling is limited by their ability to execute. If you try any other resume software, Rezi is by far a superior product experience. This is especially true for solopreneurs trying to use ai coding to make a resume builder.
