The success of this launch stems from the founder's relatable journey as a doctor building a side project, combined with a clear articulation of a unique and intriguing app concept. The target subreddit provided a receptive audience, and the founder's transparency and humor fostered positive sentiment and encouraged early feedback.
Leveraging a niche subreddit (r/SideProject) for targeted audience engagement.
The founder's unique background as a doctor adds credibility and a compelling narrative.
A clear and concise description of the app's core features and value proposition (fibre tracking, AI poop analysis).
Transparency about the app's current state ('far from perfect atm') and the lesson learned from a previous failed app ('trying to ship faster').
The inclusion of a humorous and relatable GIF, alongside a slightly self-deprecating tone regarding the 'fiber' spelling, created engagement.
You’re making me feel embarrassed, I’m a developer and I can’t even create an app with an interface as beautiful as yours. I wish you success.
Ok-Praline1660I wish I could say otherwise. Being a developer, I did successful surgery on a patient, and now the police are looking for me. Happy for you though!! 🥲
prof_morrisThanks so much!
hodglnNext up. One to improve gut feeling.
andupotoracThat’s cool, I tried it out but I didn’t want to subscribe and having to cancel out, you may want to try a free mode if you don’t get the conversion you want. Also some questions like how many grams of fiber you eat a week is difficult to answer accurately. Also the on-boarding is well done
